Boleto Bancário is a popular Brazilian payment method where customers receive a digital or paper payment slip ("boleto") that they can pay at banks, supermarkets, or online via their internet banking.
Boleto is particularly interesting because it reaches a large portion of the Brazilian population that does not use a credit card. Payments are guaranteed as soon as the boleto has been paid; however, processing typically takes one to three working days. The disadvantage is that payment is not confirmed immediately, which means that dispatch can often only take place after receipt.
